ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyse the simultaneous spatial relationship between economic growth and e-commerce as well as the spillover effect between the two variables in East Java at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. To answer the research objectives, spatial simultaneous modeling is used with the Spatial Autoregressive Generalized Spatial Three Model. Stage Least Square (SAR-GS3SLS) using rook contiguity. Based on the results of the SAR-GS3SLS, it can be concluded that at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 in East Java, economic growth and e-commerce were simultaneously spatially interconnected. Variables that affect East Java's economic growth are e-commerce activities, the number of villages that have Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) and the spatial lag of economic growth (ρ1) while the open unemployment rate (TPT) and the Gini ratio have no significant effect on growth. economy. Variables that affect e-commerce are economic growth, internet banking users, percentage of population who have cellphones, number of millennials, number of villages that have ATMs and spatial lag of e-commerce (ρ2) while the number of villages with 4G/LTE signals has no effect on e-commerce. commerce. Regencies/cities that provide the highest spillover of economic growth and e-commerce in East Java are Malang, Mojokerto and Madiun Regencies. The three districts were able to provide a positive net spillover. © 2023 by the authors;licensee Growing Science, Canada.

ABSTRACT

The vaccination program launched by the Indonesian government is the fastest and best solution to overcome the pandemic before finding a cure for COVID-19. Unwillingness to receive vaccinations a major barrier for the Indonesian government to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and achieve the target of 70% of the total population in Indonesia receiving the vaccine. In this study, we estimate predictors of six domains of unwillingness to receive COVID-19 vaccinations or negative attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccines in the Bontang city. That predictors are gender, age, income, profession, marital status, and level of education. The Binary logistic regression analysis in this study was used to find the predictors effect of COVID-19 vaccine’s attitudes in Bontang city. A total of 500 participants in the Bontang city completed the survey. The public unwillingness to receive COVID-19 vaccinations in Bontang city was still high (26,2%). There are effect age (≤ 25 years: p=0.002, OR=1.651;36 - 45 years: p=0.006, OR=1.015;> 55 years: p=0.006, OR=1.016), income (≤ 2 million IDR: p=0.016, OR=8.816;2.1- 3.5 million IDR: p=0.002, OR=6.216), profession (farmer: p=0.015, OR=5.876;fisherman: p=0.007, OR=6.168;employee: p=0.003, OR=3.161;laborer: p=0.045, OR=5.361), marital status (married: p=0.004, OR= 3.936;single: p=0.016, OR=3,973;divorced:0.001, p=0.007, OR=5.148), and level of education (elementary school: p=0.032, OR=2.787;junior high school: p=0.006, OR=2.420) to COVID-19 vaccine’s attitudes in Bontang city. The novel to this study is that we also specifically examined factors that predict uncertainty and unwillingness to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in Bontang City. Persuasive approach and public health massaging should be continued and tailored to address these concerns, especially to certain ages, certain professions, marital statuses, and people with lower levels of education and incomes. © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc.. ABSTRACT

The low student learning outcomes, coupled with the necessity of students to study independently at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, added to the list of problems for basic physics lectures and the Vision of IAIN Batusangkar to integrate the Qur’an in lectures. So, learning media is needed in the form of Basic Physics Student Worksheets integrated with the Qur’an with the Scaffolding Approach. This Student Worksheet contains material that guides students to learn to achieve independence. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of basic physics student worksheets integrated with the Alqur’an with a scaffolding approach to student learning outcomes and to see student responses to the use of student worksheets. The type of research is pre-experimental with one group pretest and posttest design. Sampling used a total sampling technique, with a sample of students from the Department of Chemistry for the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 years, that is 15 and 14 students. The research instrument was in the form of learning outcomes test questions and student response questionnaires. Based on the data analysis, the following results were obtained: 1) Both research phase 1 and research phase 2, all students gave a positive response to learning using Student Worksheets. 2) The use of basic physics student worksheets was not effective in phase 1 research, and in phase 2 research it was quite effective in improving student learning outcomes. So it was concluded that the Basic Physics Student Worksheet integrated with the Qur'an with the Scaffolding approach was quite effective in improving student learning outcomes. © 2022 American Institute of Physics Inc.. ABSTRACT

This case series highlights the outcome of four pregnancies complicated with COVID-19, as the pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) poses a lot of uncertainties due to lack of scientific evidence in guiding the management of pregnancy with COVID-19. The women were between 25 and 31 years of age and of 35 - 39 weeks of gestation with no underlying medical problems. Three women were delivered via caesarean section and one woman was delivered via ventouse delivery due to poor progress during the second stage of labour. Two women were in stage 4 of the disease (having breathing difficulties and requiring oxygen support) at presentations. One of them was treated with hydroxychloroquine (HC) only while another one was treated with both HC and antiviral medications;none required assisted ventilation during their hospitalizations. There is no vertical transmission of COVID-19 disease observed in this case series.
